Over the course of seventeen days together, we will establish a rigorous daily asana practice, dive into yogic scripture, self-study, and surrender to our higher Selves as we watch all that is coming.
We will be nestled amidst Europe’s highest Alps, in the Chamonix valley, surrounded by pine forests and stunning views of the Mont Blanc mountain range. Gazing at these mountains stills the mind. Our hope is that this sacred environment will support your journey inward. By being close to nature, we remember who we truly are.
In the spirit of ahimsa, we are happy to say that LAAIC TT will be a fully vegan retreat training. We will live, eat and sleep in four beautiful chalets that are interconnected—which will create a community atmosphere while still holding space for privacy for each of us. There are spa facilities at the chalet where we can heal our bodies with sauna, steam, jacuzzi, and a heated pool.
The teacher training will take place in a large hall 2 minutes walk (next to a river) from your chalet. All yoga equipment is provided.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
Talia Sutra (E-RYT 200) has been practicing movement, dance, yoga, meditation and veganism since childhood. She sees nothing as external to her studies and has learned impeccable skill and technique from masters in the world of ballet and art alike. Talia has studied and practiced many forms of yoga including Bikram, Dharma, Ashtanga and various forms of vinyasa. She has combined years of experience into her own unique blend of seamless vinyasas and intense hatha stillness. Her classes clarify, deepen and unveil the joy of being present and alive in our body. She offers a deep understanding of traditional asanas and specializes in both the theory and practice of backbending postures, for which she has created a method which has transformed the practice of thousands worldwide. Talia believes that all life is interconnected and that we must all strive to free ourselves and by extension our world from all suffering through living an awakened, compassionate life one breath, one step at a time.
Julia Planine-Troiani (E-RYT 500) has been studying movement methods for over 25 years: Dance, Pilates, Gaga, Gyrokinesis, Feldenkrais, Thai Massage. She began practicing yoga as a movement method in 2006, but over the years has become more interested in yoga as a stillness method. She has been lucky enough to sustain a daily Mysore style Astanga practice over the past four years, and has spent time studying in India. She is very influenced and inspired by her body. It has proven, time and time again, to be a fantastic tool for self inquiry. Her desire is that yoga unleashes for us the love, the courage and the knowledge to move in the right direction.

WHAT TO BRING
Chamonix Mont Blanc is the most beautiful Alpine region in Europe and as with all mountain regions, the weather is unpredictable. It can be extremely hot on sunny days and occasionally very cold even in summer, so it’s always a good idea to check the weather report right before you travel.
We recommend bringing hiking boots or sensible outdoor footwear, sunglasses, sun cream, a bathing suit (for the spa facilities), a waterproof coat, a hat and warm layers. Don’t panic if you come unprepared or forget anything, there are plenty of shops in town.
We provide all yoga equipment (mats, blocks, bricks, straps, bolsters, eye pillows and blankets). At the chalet we provide towels and bathrobes so no need to bring your own.
